SocialHeart Volunteer Month begins soon

This year, April will bring more than just flowers.

SocialHeart has tabbed next month as its first annual Volunteer Month. Open to any interested adults, 21-years or older, the local fundraising organization has lined up several service events throughout April. They include:

  • Package diapers for low-income families at HappyBottoms on Tuesday, April 12 from 6-9 p.m.
  • Fill snackbacks for hungry children with Feed Northland Kids at Harvesters on Thursday, April 21 from 6-8 p.m.
  • Build a house for a family in need with Heartland Habitat for Humanity on Saturday, April 23 from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
  • Paint the main facility of the Wildwood Outdoor Education Center on Saturday, April 30 from 9 a.m. to noon

As an added-incentive, anyone who serves at one of the four SocialHeart events will be invited to organization’s Volunteer Month Party on May 1. More details to come about that celebration. To sign-up for any of these outings, click on their respective links above.
