Help our troops through Warriors’ Best Friend

WRITTEN BY HEATHER LANGE

A call to service and endless sacrifices are things servicemen and women give by signing that blank check to the United States of America.

During their time of service, not all of them receive visible wounds; in fact, 1-in-5 military members suffer from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder or traumatic brain injuries.

Warriors’ Best Friend (WBF) adopts and trains rescue dogs to pair with America’s wounded warriors who are struggling with these visible and invisible wounds. From now until October 31, every Friday and Saturday night, WBF will set up post at five different bars in Kansas City to sell raffle tickets to win a new truck. All the proceeds from the raffle will allow more of our wounded warriors to receive a WBF service dog completely free. After all our military members have sacrificed, it would be a privilege to provide them with a service dog to cope with their wounds.

To make this possible, WBF would like 10 friendly and outgoing volunteers each night to sell raffle tickets. Volunteers must be 21 years or older. To sign up, please contact us at [email protected].
