PREP KC Career Jumping at Carl Bruce Middle School – 6th Grade

PREP-KC’s mission is to create and implement strategies that help students attending Kansas City’s urban school districts succeed in college and their careers. This event is for 6th-grade students at Carl Bruce Middle School in KCK and is designed to expose students to a range of career paths. 

Volunteers will talk to small groups of students in a speed-networking format for approximately 8 minutes each. Volunteers will share their name, occupation/company, educational background, current role, and the skills necessary to be successful in their careers. Students will enjoy hearing how each volunteer decided what they wanted to do and the path they took to get there. (There will not be access to outlets or Wi-Fi.)
