Newhouse needs volunteers at Paint the Night

WRITTEN BY HEATHER LANGE

Where else can you see dazzling murals, sink your teeth into delicious food and enjoy beverages, boutiques and beauty – all while volunteering?

On Saturday, Aug. 1, from 5-9 p.m. the shops in Park Place at Leawood, Kan. will hold the 6th Annual Paint the Night: Street Party. The event will be dedicated to celebrating the arts with a spectacular feast of dance, music and art from the region’s best talent. Culinary sampling of food, drink and Park Place boutiques will be on display. And the best part — you can enjoy all this while helping a good cause.

Newhouse, a charity that works to break the cycle of domestic violence, will receive proceeds from the event. To enhance that giving, the nonprofit needs nearly 30 fabulous folks to volunteer at their booth and the event. Shifts last from 6:30-9:15 p.m. and include a variety of tasks such as greeting and/or serving attendees.

If you can volunteer, or know of an interested group, please contact us immediately at [email protected] to sign-up.
