PAINTING WITH HEARTLAND HABITAT FOR HUMANITY
Channeling their inner Picassos, one of our volunteer groups recently spent the morning of July 29 painting a future Heartland Habitat for Humanity home in Kansas City, Kansas.
Throughout the gorgeous morning and midday — sunny with temperatures just over 80 degrees — the crew helped the house inch closer to completion with two coats of paint on both the front and sides of the building. The hope is that the home will be done by the end of August, wrapping up a highly efficient construction project that started just over a month ago. In the group photo below, you can actually see the future homeowner in the neon bandana. She is a wonderful person.
