National Alliance of Mental Illness (NAMI) Greater KC

Impact

The mission of the National Alliance of Mental Illness (NAMI) is to promote mental wellness, build acceptance in our community, and give hope to people affected by mental illness through advocacy, education, and support. NAMI is dedicated to improving the quality of life and recovery for people with mental illness and their families through support, education and advocacy. They provide persons living with a mental illness a safe place to share feelings and get needed information.

Volunteer opporutnities include hosting a fundraiser, assisting with advocacy efforts, sharing your story at workshops, and assisting with day of needs for the annual NAMIWalk, bowling and karaoke events.
