Juneteenth Celebration with The Hope Center
The Hope Center stands as a beacon for transformation in Kansas City’s East Side, embodying the power of community and the promise of possibility. Since its inception in 1999, this dynamic organization has been dedicated to creating positive changes through innovative programs and community events while providing a safe and nurturing environment where children, youth, and families can gather, learn, and grow together.
We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join us on Friday, June 19, from 4-7 p.m. for our annual Juneteenth Celebration! This vibrant community event honors the history and significance of Juneteenth while bringing together more than 1,00o attendees each year. Volunteers will help support an unforgettable evening featuring life entertainment, Juneteenth trivia, inspiring guest speakers, inflatables, vendors, food trucks, petting zoos, and activities for all ages.
Volunteer opportunities include serving food, supervising bounce houses, monitoring the petting zoo, supporting the playground, assisting with event setup and takedown, and helping wherever needed. Be part of a powerful day of reflection, unity, and cultural pride as our community comes together to celebrate freedom and heritage. Your support helps make it all possible.
