CommUNITY Fest with United Way

United Way’s mission is to strengthen the organized capacity of the community, ensuring maximum support to everyone in need. United Way encourages you to join us on their mission to invest in the community, spread the word, and make a difference today.

Volunteers are needed on Friday, November 06, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. to give back and making a real impact in the community. This reimagined Day of Caring brings volunteers together to support local nonprofits, serve alongside neighbors and celebrate the power of helping others. With more than 50 nonprofit partners participating, CommUNITY Fest aims to become the largest day of volunteering in Kansas City.

Volunteer opportunities include:

– Cultivate KC: working in community gardens including weeding and fixing garden beds

– Habitat for Humanity of Kansas City: restocking and supporting ReStore customers

– Hope Faith: organizing and preparing winter closet

– Jewish Vocational Services: sorting clothes in clothing closet
