Black Archives of Mid-America
Impact
The mission of Black Archives of Mid-America in Kansas City, Inc. is to collect, pressure and make available to the public materials documenting the social, economic, political and cultural histories of persons of African American decent in the central U.S., with a particular emphasis in the Kansas City, Missouri region.
Volunteer opportunities include administrative support, such as filing and mail merges, communications, grant writing, tour guides, and storage and organization of archives. Group opportunities are available upon request. All volunteer opportunities are available Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., as well as on Saturday mornings.
