The mission of CCVI is to prepare children with visual impairments, including those with multiple disabilities, to reach their highest potential in the sighted world. Since opening in 1952, CCVI has served more than 10,000 children.

Padraig Pearse Division #1 was founded in Kansas City on February 11, 1871 and today is Kansas City’s oldest continually operational Civic Organization.
