Kansas City Community Gardens
Impact

Kansas City Community Gardens’ mission is to empower and inspire low-income households, community groups, and schools in the Kansas City Metropolitan area to grow their own vegetables and fruit. KCCG does this by providing low-cost fruit and vegetable seeds for back yard garden plots, school yards, vacant lots and community sites — making healthy food affordable and accessible to all.

Volunteer opportunities include cleaning up and transforming empty lots into green spaces, fruit thinning, at orchards, picking vegetables at KCCG’s many locations, and more.
