2026 Garmin KC Marathon
Garmin Kansas City Marathon’s mission is to promote healthy living and the city’s beauty by creating one of the best race experiences in the region. The event proceeds will benefit local nonprofits such as The Women’s Inter-sport Network for Kansas City (WIN for KC) and Team World Vision.
Volunteers are needed on Saturday, October 17, from 6:30 am to 1:00 pm to ensure the safety and health of course runners in the Nelson-Atkins Museum area. Playing a part in this annual event is a great way to support your community, cheer on runners, and be part of one of Kansas City’s signature events. Volunteers will also be provided with free event t-shirts.
Volunteer opportunities include acting as course monitors. A course monitor is a volunteer stationed at an intersection along the course, keeping cars off the race track, reporting any problems/issues to staff, and cheering on runners as they go by.
