Festival of Lights at Powell Gardens

Powell Gardens mission is to be an experience that embraces the Midwest’s spirit of place and inspires an appreciation for the importance of plants in our lives. At Festival of Lights, Powell Garden’s largest event, more than 20 miles of lights turn Kansas City’s botanical garden into a winter wonderland and guests encounter immersive botanic installations that show off the exceptional architecture and landscape elements of the Gardens and accentuating the natural joy of the most festive season.

Volunteer opportunities for Festival of Lights includes greeting guests and assisting with the check-in process, and assisting in concessions by keeping the area clean, preparing food and drinks, and assisting with the sales process.
