Socktober 2022: Start a Drive Today!

With the changing weather comes the challenge to stay warm. While many of us have the convenience of heaters in our homes, the less fortunate in Kansas City needs our help to keep warm in these fall and winter months. As mentioned earlier, even the smallest things – like cozy socks – can be a great help.

One way you can show your support is through our event Socktober, an annual sock drive happening throughout October to aid the homeless and people in need. It’s simple to participate – just sign up using our form, then collect new pairs of socks or any other clothing items over the month. By the end of October, we at Uncover KC will coordinate delivery options for you to drop off your donations. It’s that easy!

You can even get your local community involved, be it your classmates or coworkers, by placing a donation box in your usual workspace. Encourage them to also donate and keep giving what they can.

Kindness can go a long way for those who are less fortunate. Through charitable work, you can bring happiness to another person and also fulfillment for yourself.
