IT’S OFFICIAL — WE’RE CERTIFIED

It was little over a year ago that we came up with the idea of The Call Kansas City. Honestly, it was just a simple realization. So many opportunities to help, so many people willing to do so, and all that was needed was someone to ask.

Well, after 12 months of committing ourselves to creating this volunteer renaissance, we have been officially recognized by the state of Missouri for the efforts. As of Feb. 18, 2014, The Call KC is a certified, incorporated nonprofit organization.

What does that means? Physically speaking, nothing really. We got a fancy piece of paper and the ability to take the next step towards accepting monetary donations, along with some fun tax forms.

But in the grand scheme of things, it means we are on the right track. If we continue to help others, we can create a lasting impact that goes well beyond anything we’ve done in the past.

Ultimately, we can create true change in our city and that is just the beginning — now the official beginning.
