Nerman Museum of Contemporary Art

Impact

The mission of the Nerman Museum of Contemporary Art is to be an interdisciplinary academic resource for students and faculty, and a cultural center for exhibiting, interpreting, collecting and preserving works of contemporary art in a wide range of media.

Volunteer opportunities include working with museum staff to facilitate informal learning and assisting with educational programs. Visitor service assistants provide customer service at the information desk during daily activities, special events and programs. Children’s class assistants provide childcare and teaching services as they learn hands-on about art museum education. Docent volunteers complete a comprehensive training program and lead interactive art appreciation tours for school, college and community groups.
