Impact

Della Lamb’s mission is to empower its clients to meet the challenges of education, employment, and self-sufficiency in an ever-changing world. Della Lamb has been providing services to Kansas City’s refugee population for decades, becoming an authorized resettlement agency in 2014.

Volunteer opportunities include their Co-Sponsorship program where volunteers will walk hand-in-hand with a refugee family, the House to Home program where volunteers help prepare a home for an arriving refugee family, Bus Training to help new arrival learn the public transportation system, childcare for English Language Learners (ELL), and youth mentorship volunteers to assist young refugees adjust to life in Kansas City. Group opportunities are available as well.
