Northland Clothing Center

Impact

The mission of Northland Clothing Center (formerly Clay County Clothes Closet) is to remove barriers to success and restore dignity to underserved Kansas City Northland families through an empowering clothing resource program. Established in 1959, NCC’s goal is to provide sustainable clothing to individuals and school-aged children who need clothing to help them remain in school, maintain employment, and take part in community activities.

Volunteer opportunities include being a clothing selection assistant, helping prepare clothing for selection (sorting/sizing/folding), grant writing/fundraising, public speaking opportunities, website management, event participation, and more.
