Powell Gardens Festival of Lights

The mission of Powell Gardens is to be an experience that embraces the Midwest spirit of place and inspires an appreciation for the importance of plants in our lives. During the Festival of Lights at Powell Gardens, more than 20 miles of lights turn Kansas City’s botanical garden into a winter wonderland.

Volunteers will assist the Powell Gardens’ Festival of Lights display teams to place, install, and mount lights throughout The Gardens, as well as wrap trees, fixtures, walkways and provide support in bringing new exhibits to life like the Light Labyrinth, and more.
