Kansas City Autism Training Center

Impact

The Kansas City Autism Training Center’s (KcATC) mission is to help people on the autism spectrum fulfill their potential through ethical, evidence-based treatment, education and training. KcATC is a private, child care facility specializing in the treatment of autism spectrum disorders. KcATC uses Applied Behavior Analysis to optimize learning environments for children with autism spectrum disorders.

Volunteer opportunities include creating and organizing materials for child programs, changing bulletin boards, landscaping, sewing, cleaning, filing, helping with book and toy rotations. Depending on time commitment, experience, and interest, volunteers can also help with preschool classrooms and work directly with the children. Service hours vary Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
