Center for Developmentally Disabled

Impact

Everyone needs a friend, and that’s what this volunteer opportunity is all about. CDD’s Befriending Program matches you with one of our individuals with developmental disabilities to provide the companionship and genuine care of a dear friend. Sometimes, it can be hard to make and keep friends, and disabilities can make it even harder. We need fun and engaging people like you to be their friend.

Spend quality time with your Befriending Buddy at their home or in the community doing whatever it is the two of you want. You won’t have to perform any hands-on care activities, just enjoy your time with your buddy. We also provide Befriending group experiences if you have some friends that would like to have fun with a group of our clients.
