Kansas City Community Gardens
Impact
Kansas City Community Gardens’ mission is to empower and inspire low-income households, community groups, and schools in the Kansas City Metropolitan area to grow their own vegetables and fruit. KCCG does this by providing low-cost fruit and vegetable seeds for back yard garden plots, school yards, vacant lots and community sites.
Volunteer opportunities include: cleaning up and transforming empty lots into green spaces, fruit thinning, at orchards, picking vegetables at KCCG’s locations, and additional opportunities.
