PCs for People Kansas City

Impact

The mission of PCs for People Kansas City is to provide the opportunity for all individuals, families, and nonprofits with low income to benefit from the life-changing impact of computers, internet, and digital skills through electronic reuse. As of June 1, 2020 KC nonprofit Connecting for Good officially became a PCs for People organization. The newly formed partnership will combine the unique strengths of both organizations to promote digital inclusion and heal the nation’s digital divide.

Volunteer opportunities include helping dismantle computers, equipment testing, equipment cleaning, tech donation organizing, equipment intake, refurbishing computers with Windows 10 or Linux OS, assisting people at computer labs and setting up computers with Windows, and assist at in-person distribution and pick-up events.
