Wildwood Outdoor Education Center

Wildwood Outdoor Education Center’s mission is to bring kids outside to learn and grow together, transforming summer into a season of learning, youth development, and outdoor adventure for low-income Kansas City area youth. They offer a variety of volunteer opportunities, both during camp and year-round, and are happy to accommodate corporate and other volunteer groups.

Volunteer opportunities during camp include being a volunteer counselor, activity facilitator, health care manager, photographer/videographer, beautifying camp, bus stop welcomer (Monday mornings and some Fridays). During special events, volunteers can assist with set-up/tear-down, welcoming guests, check-in, parking, games coordinator, campfire attendant and wish boat leader.
