Expanding Your Horizons at Union Station’s Science City
For our youngest of explorers and beyond, Science City is THE place to experience the amazing world of science first-hand. Indoors. Outdoors. Through fun and engaging exhibits and educator-led programs and activities. Your lifelong love of science, learning, and discovery begins here.
Volunteer on Friday, Jan. 27 from 5-10 p.m. for Science City’s Expanding Your Horizons, sponsored by Olsson Engineering. This event is held to provide middle school girls, grades 6-8, the chance to experience hands-on workshops with local female STEM professionals.
Duties include:
- Help workshop presenters get their space set up and packed up at end of event
- Assist event staff with registration/check-in
- General crowd control as needed, especially while moving girls from Science City to the Extreme Screen
- Hand out attendee packets at the start, snacks during and gifts at the end
