Fabric Grab Fundraiser for The Sewing Labs

The Sewing Labs is an inclusive and welcoming community teaching the legacy of sewing for employment, entrepreneurship, and enrichment. They focus on individuals who find themselves in at-risk situations and lead them into lives filled with financial dignity through the skill of sewing. The Sewing Labs are located in the Don Bosco Community Center in Columbus Park.

 Twice a year The Sewing Labs hold a fundraiser called Fabric Grab and are seeking volunteers to support this effort. They are seeking volunteers to set up, work and tear down our event on September 9th and 10th, 2022. In the past they have worked with students who were so humbled by the people they met and served during this event.

At the Fabric Grab, The Sewing Labs offers FREE fabric as well as bargains in fabric. In addition there are assortments of notions, tools, patterns and sewing machines. The selection also includes vintage & newer items. Meet other makers and support The Sewing Labs mission to use sewing to create jobs and to build community. Event is held outdoors in The Sewing Labs parking lot in an open-air environment.
