KC Rakes! 2021

Roll up your sleeves, grab a rake, gather some of your favorite people to have a great time while making a difference in the lives of older adults in Kansas City. Shepherd’s Center Kansas City is hosting its yearly KC Rakes! event, a community-wide service day that sees volunteers clean the yards of older adults who are no longer physically able to rake and/0r can’t afford to hire help.

Volunteers are needed to rake as well as drive trucks to specific homeowner routes, load up yard waste bags and drop off waste at designated city required location. Some supplies are provided, but if you have your own rake, work gloves or available truck, you’ll want to bring them.
