Hope and Healing with Mothers in Charge

KC Mothers in Charge’s mission is to provide crisis response and on-going support for families grieving from the violent loss of a loved one. Focusing on victim and family services to provide emotional support in an individuals time of need.

Hope and Healing needs volunteers on Thursday July 17, 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, to help provide a safe, compassionate space to share, heal, and connect with others navigating the trauma of losing a loved one to violence. Sessions feature a variety of topics, guest speakers, and group discussions aimed at fostering healing, resilience, and community support. Open to adults (18+) who are grieving the loss of a loved one to homicide.

Volunteer opportunities include: client sign in, set up event space, display light snacks , help pass out materials, and additional opportunities.
