Pet Food Pantry with Pet Resource Center of Kansas City
The mission of the Pet Resource Center of Kansas City is to decrease pet homelessness, increase pet retention and improve the quality of life for pets through education and supportive services for families in need. Its Pet Food Pantry is used to distribute thousands of pounds of pet food yearly and is volunteer operated.
Volunteers are needed to help work the pantry and distribute pet food to owners during PRCKC’s hour-long event. Volunteers will bag dog and cat food and organize various resources to hand out to people and their pets.
Please note: Food Pantry is currently a drive-through service in the PRCKC parking lot, in keeping with COVID-19 safety precautions. Volunteers should be prepared to work primarily outdoors, remain standing or walking for the duration of the event, and may be asked to do some heavy/bulky lifting.
