Urban Grown Farms and Gardens Tour with Cultivate KC

Cultivate KC’s Mission is to grow food, farms, and community in support of an equitable, sustainable and healthy local food system for all, while also serving local farmers and connect them with the community. Dismantling systemic barriers that keep community members from accessing healthy, local food in order to provide healthy and sustainable food for all members of the KC Metro area.

The Urban Grown Tour needs volunteers on June 7, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, to help invite the greater Kansas City community into their local neighborhood farms and gardens, to educate about sustainable growing practices, and connect with local growers. Strengthening connections to the local food system by inviting the community to hear stories directly from growers, about the why they do what they do and what they see for the future of urban growing in Kansas City. Volunteer opportunities include: check registration, answering general questions about the tour, and additional opportunities.
