1st Annual Literacy KC Classic
The 1st Annual Literacy KC Classic is set for Tuesday, Sept. 25 and needs over 100 volunteers. This fundraiser will see teams of 5 test their putting skills on a mini-golf course throughout KC Live! in Kansas City’s Power & Light District. The Classic will be Literacy KC’s largest event of the year and is critical for funding.
Volunteers will help with set up and take down, check-in, a silent auction, hole monitoring, VIP party and more, all while enjoying live music and a fun evening. There are two main volunteer shifts: 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and 4-8 p.m.
The organizers are also asking volunteers to attend training prior to the event. Two sessions are scheduled: Monday, Sept. 20 from 6-7 p.m. and Tuesday, Sept. 21 from 6-7 p.m. Please indicate which training you plan to attend when signing up.
