SOARly Needed R&R

The mission of SOAR Special Needs is to transform the lives of special families and empower them to soar in their local and faith communities. They will be hosting a free 3-hour respite for parents of individuals with special needs as well as a program for siblings from birth to 13 years old. This April R&R event will be hosted at Abundant Life Church in Lee’s Summit to help serve over 40 families from 4:30-8:30p.

Volunteers are needed to assist in a variety of roles including being a one-on-one buddy to an individual with special needs, siblings group leader, crafts, sensory, medical, security and more. Volunteers will also assist with set-up and event teardown. Volunteers must be in 6th grade or older to serve on their own. If they are younger than in the 6th grade, they are encouraged them to serve with their family.
